Windows Group Policy Name :- Group Policy - Devices: Prevent users from installing printer drivers when connecting to shared printers

Description :-

For a computer to print to a shared printer, the driver for that shared printer must be installed on the local computer. This security setting determines who is allowed to install a printer driver as part of connecting to a shared printer. If this setting is enabled, only Administrators can install a printer driver as part of connecting to a shared printer. If this setting is disabled, any user can install a printer driver as part of connecting to a shared printer. Default on servers: Enabled. Default on workstations: Disabled

This setting does not affect the ability to add a local printer. This setting does not affect Administrators.

Note :-

After changing group policy options, you need to update group policy. If you do not update group policy then settings will not effect. To update it just simply type below command and also sample image is shown.

Command :-

gpupdate /force

output-update-group-policy

In about command we used "/force" option, this will help up to update policy options forcefully.
